내용
Drew는 혼자인 경우가 많은 편이다. 쥐를 애완동물로 키우고, 돌아가신 아빠의 책 목록을 들여다 볼 때가 많은 이 소녀는 엄마의 치즈 가게에서 일을 도우며 치즈에 대해서는 모르는 게 없는 소녀이다. 그리고 카운터에서 아르바이트를 하는 Nick과 장난을 치는 게 즐겁다. 저도 흥미롭게 읽던 중 꼭 소개해야겠다고 생각한 타이틀입니다. 작가의 글을 보면, 자신의 많은 작품 중 가장 자신의 이야기와 맞닿아 있고(치즈 가게에서 일을 하고, 또래보다는 어른들을 만날 기회가 많았던 어린 시절), 성장 소설을 쓰고 싶었던 작가의 바람에 가장 만족을 주었던 작품이라고 합니다. 현재 프랑스와 이탈리아에 계약되었습니다.
